Using a statewide voter list from January 2021 vs a recent (2023) Brockton voter list, at least 3,675 adults moved into Brockton from other Massachusetts communities. And those are just registered voters who updated their registration.

The top 10 places they moved from:

• Randolph – 196
• Taunton – 171
• Quincy – 163
• Stoughton – 134
• Fall River – 102
• Bridgewater – 92
• Weymouth – 59
• New Bedford – 56
• Whitman – 51

Of those 1,274 adults who came from Boston, the top 10 Boston zip codes they moved from:

• 02124 – 273
• 02126 – 157
• 02136 – 137
• 02121 – 127
• 02119 – 116
• 02125 – 114
• 02122 – 76
• 02131 – 68
• 02130 – 34
• 02118 – 31

Meanwhile, in the same period, at least 1,487 Brockton voters left the Brockton voter list. They presumably moved or were elders who are deceased. New Brocktonians are a sizeable constituency and should be respected.
